Gateway Tree Care Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness with “The Pink Team”

ST. LOUIS (May 9, 2016) – Gateway Tree Care, owned by Vicki and Shane Hutchens of St. Louis, are not only celebrating their one year anniversary in business, they have found a way to raise awareness on the challenges of breast cancer and truly impact lives.

Shane and Vicki both have individuals close to them who have been affected by breast cancer and the couple wanted to help others fighting the disease, so they created “The Pink Team”. A tree care service trims and removes trees and bushes from commercial and residential properties. They do this through a system of taking the tree down then sending it through a chipper to save space and create mulch. The Pink Team operates a bright pink chipper! When residential customers ask about the Pink Team or request the pink chipper, Gateway Tree Care donates a portion of their payment to Gateway to Hope, a nonprofit organization who helps women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer with financial assistance for comprehensive care and basic living expenses. Shane and Vicki liked the name relationship and when they met the Gateway to Hope team, knew they’d chosen the right partner. The “Pink Team” is in business. Interviews with the Hutchens’ and Gateway to Hope spokesperson, along with the chipper on-site can be scheduled.
